CAN I DRINK WATER FROM THE TAP IN CUBA?

This is one of the most frequently asked questions by many traveling families (especially families with children and teenagers) when they start planning their vacations in Cuba.

The water distributed in Cuba to the population is chemically treated, but it can be harmful for visitors who are not used to drink it, as it is not completely safe and certified since not enough is invested in the aqueduct system.
That is why we ALWAYS recommend traveling families to buy bottled water from (Ciego Montero) Cuban water BRAND) for several reasons:
- You avoid any risk of upset stomach.
- You will have the certainty of consuming pure, certified and
% safe water.
- You will always be cool and hydrated to face the Cuban heat during your trip.
- You will be able to buy the water bottles in almost any store, as they are available all over Cuba.
IMPORTANT
Do not buy bottles that come filled to the top of the cap, and if you can open it at the time to make sure it is well sealed it would be great,
unfortunately, in some centers, employees refill the bottles from a filter.
